David Nelson CFA
Mr. Nelson’s focus is on strategic planning, leadership, financial and legal issues. He is responsible for bringing together the various participants in the group’s development activities in the Cayman Islands. David has significant real estate experience in Canada including: managing a private REIT that has invested in strip malls in Western Canada; advising one of Vancouver’s leading real estate developers and auditing a large integrated real estate developer who built 500 – 600 homes per year.
With 40 years of experience, David has provided customized financial solutions for business owners and affluent clients from a variety of perspectives, including public accounting, personal financial planning, investment management, succession, tax and estate planning. He has also advised clients on both domestic and international solutions to their financial objectives. David has worked with some of Canada’s leading financial and professional service firms including Great-West Life, Canada Trust, Royal Trust, KPMG and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Vice President Project Management
Mr. Spence is a highly experienced project manager and custom home designer / builder and has successfully built custom homes and commercial projects internationally. Proven experience with many building techniques, post and beam construction, ICF construction, commercial retrofits, prefabricated steel, platform construction, as well as alternative energy / green construction techniques which apply to projects. Mr. Spence’s role is to assemble and direct a team of highly qualified and experienced service providers to execute the design, planning, construction and implementation of development project objectives.
Todd provides onsite management of the project ensuring the general contractor and sub-contractors have all the resources they need and that the work is performed in an efficient manner. Todd works to identify and solve construction problems as they arise. Todd is responsible for managing the construction of the interiors of our developments.
Todd is an efficient and qualified site manager with over 20 years construction experience in the Cayman Islands. He has worked for several of the top general contractors on the island. He also has 7 years’ experience working for one of Vancouver’s top real estate developers.
Paul is responsible for: reviewing in detail architectural and engineering drawings to calculate material take offs and ensure all details are buildable; communicating with and supervising all subtrades regarding architectural and structural design details, material and measurements; communicating with and supervising all subtrades regarding product installation, fit and finish; monitoring the installation of interior design materials and appliances.
Paul has 26 years of construction experience being responsible for all aspects of design and construction, footings, foundation, electrical, plumbing up to finish carpentry. Duties included custom design and drafting, material take off lists, material purchases, deliveries and installations. Creating and reviewing contracts with clients to ensure the quality and quantity of the deliverables. Directing and ensuring the work of subcontractors and suppliers. Creating and monitoring project and material procurement timetables.
Jane Reno De Souza
Jane is our Procurement Coordinator. She is responsible for Supply Chain Management for our development projects. Jane is key for the smooth progress of the Project Operations. Her responsibilities include coordinating the importation of materials for the Company’s projects with senior management; facilitating movement of goods through the port in Grand Cayman; arranging shipping for goods if required; liaising with suppliers; researching optimum shipping arrangements and managing contracts with suppliers.
With 16 years of international experience as a Procurement and Contracts Specialist, Jane has broad industry experience from Oil & Gas, Mining to Aviation and Construction. Jane has been involved in projects in Barracuda & Caratinga in Brazil, Golfinho II in Dubai, Cabinda & Lubango pavement in Angola and projects in Qatar and UAE.
Trevor’s job is managing all accounting functions in the company including financial compliance activities. Managing accounts payable function including liaising with project management team to ensure payables are accurate and paid on time, job costing, detailed budget and account analysis, prepare monthly financial statements and financial reporting to lenders.
Trevor is an FCCA with over 25 years of accounting and managerial experience.
